Miranda knows she's loud. She knows she's annoying. She knows she's not that smart. But that's okay with her, all of it, because she's happy with how she is. She's got friends, she's got three older brothers that love her even if they are a bit overprotective, and she's just plain happy. Maybe she's so happy because she's oblivious to most of what's going around her, but don't think she's not storing this information. While Miranda's not very vocal about the war going on outside the walls of Hogwarts, she keeps up to date with the attacks, the battles, the Ministry laws—she just doesn't think she can really do anything about it. Not yet, at least.

She's a daddy's girl to the extreme, and lucky for her she's his little princess. All Miranda needs to do is pout a bit (and add the ocassional whining, squeaky voice) and her father gives in. Not with everything, however, which keeps her from officially being labeled a 'spoiled brat' but enough to be able to tease her brothers with the power she has over her father. Her mother, however, is quite keen on having grandchildren (luckily she hasn't started harping on Miranda yet, but the girl thinks that once she finishes school she'll start hearing it), and likes it when Miranda acts like a proper lady, and not cursing and yelling at those that annoy her.

For now, she's an all around happy person. She still throws little tantrums (definitely not as bad as when she was a child), but has learned that if she wants things to go her way, it's better to…well, not scream and shout and drive people up the wall. It's a definite growing experience, Hogwarts is!

The Dodderidges have been in the business of hotel management for as long as anyone could remember. Of course, this could be because Daisy Dodderidge, Miranda's great-great-great (etc., etc., she can't care to remember how many 'great's there are) grandmother, built and was the first land-lady of the Leaky Cauldron. And the family's been taking care of it since.

Miranda and her three older brothers were raised in the Leaky Cauldron. Their parents, though well-off, tried their best to keep their children's heads on straight, and to not get sucked into the party life of the young socialites they could be. The Dodderidge clan helped around the inn, working as waiters and waitresses, maids, busboys, whatever was needed, and it created quite the work ethic for the four. However, each child was different, and all four ended up in separate Houses at Hogwarts, which was evident from their drastic differences in personality. While they were all hard-workers, it seemed that their reasons for it varied.

Life with three older brothers isn't easy for anyone, especially for a dramatic girl like Miranda. Bugs in her hair, dirt everywhere, and tales of the beasties crawling out from under her bed led to many days and nights shrieking in terror. A constant tattle-tail, Miranda often wonders how her brothers didn't drop her off on some random muggle corner, as she's quite clueless about the muggle world and would never have been able to make it back home or find someone who could help (but she's getting better! Her boyfriend, Ralph, is a muggleborn and she's learning!). But, apparently they like her enough to keep her around, so even if she was/is a bit of a brat, Miranda knows she's got her family. Plus, her daddy would totally kill her brothers for upsetting her that way!

Gryffindor is and will always be the perfect House for Miranda. She's not the brightest of her group of friends, but she's the loudest and knows when and how to take charge of a situation. She's also not the bravest, but Gryffindor courage comes in many shapes and forms, so she's managed to create quite the name for herself. Whether it be because of the boys she's snogged or the rows she's gotten into in the corridors, people know who Miranda Dodderidge, and she reckons she'd like to keep it that way.
