Even though Hogwarts is located in Scotland, the world of Valesco has created characters from many parts of the world.

Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry was founded over a thousand years ago by Godric Gryffindor, Rowena Ravenclaw, Helga Hufflepuff, and Salazar Slytherin. They desired a place to properly teach young wizards and witches magic, and combined their great knowledge into the school

Hogsmeade is the only entirely wizarding village in Britain. It's a picturesque village of little thatched cottages and shops. During the holiday season, enchanted candles hang in the trees. Hogwarts is located quite near the village; a road runs around the school grounds to Hogsmeade Station, where the Hogwarts Express stops to disembark the students at the start of term. According to tradition, Hogsmeade was founded about the same time as Hogwarts by Hengist of Woodcroft, who was fleeing persecution by Muggles (CS/g). (source The Harry Potter Lexicon)

Diagon Alley and Knockturn Alley

An all wizarding few blocks of road and shops in the middle of London. Diagon Alley is reached from Muggle London by tapping a brick outside of The Leaky Cauldron. Knockturn Alley is where the, ah, more ''questionable'' wizards spend their time.

Ministry of Magic

The Ministry of Magic is where the laws of the wizarding world are upheld, changed, and challenged. Currently under a lot of criticism over its handling of You-Know-Who and its followers, the Ministry strongly urges you to keep the faith, and to follow along with the rules they create—-they're only doing what's best for you.

Godric's Hollow

Though a Muggle village, Godric's Hollow has a storied wizarding history. For over a thousand years it has been home to notable wizards and witches, and has been most famous as the birthplace of Hogwarts founder Godric Gryffindor. More recently, however, it has become renowned instead as the site of Voldemort's first downfall. Voldemort came to the village in 1981, in the midst of an open war on the wizarding world, intending to kill one-year-old Harry Potter after overhearing a prophecy predicting Harry's power. Instead his Killing Curse rebounded, blowing apart the house and destroying him. Today there are memorials to this event throughout the village, which Harry and Hermione discover when they visit on Christmas Eve, 1997 (DH16, DH17). (source The Harry Potter Lexicon)

Portugal's wizarding world is currently very oppressive against halfblood and muggleborn wizards and witches. Muggleborns are not allowed to attend school there, and are often ostracized when they enter wizarding areas.
